Leading Chinese author in English Sophy Chen will arrive in the Philippines on Sunday, July 29, 2018, to meet with Dr. Epitacio Tongohan (aka Doc Penpen), acclaimed Father of Visual Poetry and founder of Pentasi B World, to herald and kickoff the preparations for the most ambitious literary event in 2019, the 2019 China World Poetry Festival, to be held in Guangzhou City.

Sophy Chen, a multi-awarded author for her poems and translations of Chinese poems into English, will be welcomed by Doc Penpen and Zambaleno poets in English at the Okada Manila Hotel where she will be staying during the duration of her visit.

Sophy Chen was a recipient of the International Best Translator Award in 2012 and the Chinese Contemporary Translation Award in 2014. She has already translated and published six Chinese poetry collections into English. They were The Flower Swaying, The Tibetan Incense, The Outlook of Life, The Different Tunes, The Body Forward and a Poetry Biography for White Snake.

She is scheduled to finalize an agreement with Pentasi B in making her officially as the principal host, sponsor and co-organizer of the 2019 China World Poetry Festival that will be participated in by 2019 highly selected poets from around the world.

The 2019 China World Poetry Festival, first of its kind in the host country, was enthused and inspired by Pentasi B World’s series of global poetry festivals in British Columbia, Canada in 2012; Los Angeles, California, USA in 2012; Philippines in 2013; Turkey in 2014; Italy in 2016; Ghana, Africa in 2016; Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, India in 2017; and Morocco also in 2017.

The last biggest poetry event co-organized by Pentasi B World was held in October, 2017 held in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, India. Indeed, in 2017, Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi personally welcomed more than 100 organizations of poets from all over India and 38 delegates from 23 different countries.

Aside from finalizing the initial components of the preparations for the ambitious event, Sophy Chen will also formally announce during her three-day visit in the country the selection by the festival awards committee and the approval of 10,000 poets worldwide of Filipino poet and author Edwin Cordevilla as one of the major awardees during the 2019 China World Poetry Festival.

The 2019 China World Poetry Festival is the most ambitious poetry event yet as it will be participated by 2,019 poets from around the world and will also be the occasion to launch the compendium anthology of 2,019 highly selected contemporary poets/poems from various countries all over the world.

中国著名英语作家苏菲 (Sophy Chen) 2018年7月29日周日抵达菲律宾会晤著名“视觉诗歌之父”兼“Pentasi B世界”创始人——匹塔司欧•童欧汗博士 (又名朋朋博士)。这预示着即将启动2019年最雄心勃勃的文学活动——“2019中国•世界诗歌节”的筹备工作。该活动预计将在中国 (北京)、广州 (或西安) 举行。

苏菲是诗歌创作奖和汉语诗歌英译奖的多奖项获得者。访问期间她将下榻马尼拉冈田酒店（Okada Hotel），受到朋朋博士和Zambaleno英语诗人们的热烈欢迎。

苏菲2012年获“国际最佳翻译奖”、2014年获中国当代 (诗歌奖) 翻译奖。她已翻译出版了六部中国诗歌集。它们分别是：《花动摇》、《藏香》、《生之瞭望》、《异调》、《胴体向前》、《白娘子诗传》。

按计划，她将与Pentasi B 达成协议，正式成为“2019中国•世界诗歌节”的主要主持人、赞助人和联合组织者。2019年来自全世界高度精选的诗人将参加“2019中国•世界诗歌节”。

“2019中国•世界诗歌节”在东道国中国举办，受益于“Pentasi B 世界”系列全球诗歌节的鼓舞和启迪。这一系列诗歌活动分别在下列国家举行：2012年加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚省；2012年美国加州洛杉矶；2013年菲律宾；2014年土耳其；2016年意大利；2016年非洲加纳；2017年印度海德拉巴的罗摩吉电影城；2017年摩洛哥。

CNN, Philippines, made a TV report for eight minutes and a half on PENTASI B GLOBAL EVENT CHINA 2019 and Sophy Chen’s upcoming visit to Philippines.

The program was hosted by the founder of the PENTASI B World Friendship, the Father of Visual Poetry, poet Doc PenPen, and PENTASI B ADMIN, the Philippines famous poet, and journalist Edwin Corderella.

They talked about it from SOPHY CHEN, Host, Organizer & Sponsor of PENTASI B GLOBAL EVENT CHINA 2019, the Pentasi B World Featured Poet and World Golden Voice of Poetry Awardee, Sophy Chen. 《苏菲诗歌&翻译》（英汉双语）国际期刊稿约

为了确保《苏菲诗歌&翻译》（英汉对照）期刊的整体艺术质量和延续性，现面向世界各国诗人公开约稿。具体事宜如下：

一、《苏菲诗歌&翻译》（英汉对照）期刊由翻译家苏菲Sophy Chen独立翻译（或组织多语种翻译家共同）完成；

二、举凡各国有影响、有成就、有实力的诗人，不论国籍、语种、民族、宗教信仰、性别、年龄，均可来稿。来稿以艺术质量为第一标准。

三、《苏菲诗歌&翻译》（英汉对照）期刊，属个人独资兴办，无稿费、自费公助形式订阅与出版，如需刊载需要支付作品翻译服务费。

公助形式：

1、预订

请诗人和读者积极预订。中国大陆免邮费每本￥50元。（一年）四期合计￥200元。海外免邮费每期$30美元。四期合计 $120美元。订购请写明：（大陆）姓名/笔名+微信/qq+邮箱+电话+详细邮寄地址；（海外）姓名/笔名+facebook+邮箱+电话+详细邮寄地址。我们将按照订书量按量印刷，请需要的诗人和读者先付费预订，出版后我们会尽快邮寄。预订期刊请转账到：苏菲微信/支付宝 18201007874。

2、翻译赞助

1）翻译赞助按照当代新诗（汉译英）15元/行；英译汉$3美元/行（标题+副标题+内文+注解）统一收取，纳入苏菲诗歌翻译基金。300字以内的诗人简介义务提供翻译。本期有诗歌刊载的诗人免费邮寄样书一本。

2) （汉译英）散文诗、散文、翻译评论、诗歌评论￥1000元/千字；诗歌新闻2元/字。（英译汉）散文诗、散文、翻译评论、诗歌评论$200/千字；诗歌新闻$0.5美元/字。

3）封面人物、封二诗人推荐栏目赞助（面议）。

4）其他语种翻译赞助费用另行商议（面议）。

5）封三名人书画赞助（面议）

如果你既是诗人又是书画家，我们可以在封三提供一整版的书画版面，包括书画、书画家简介和照片、我们会用英汉双语大力推广。翻译推广版面费面议。

6）凡授权苏菲亲自翻译并出版的诗人诗歌集，将开辟大篇幅诗人专栏免费刊载英汉对照诗选。

四、《苏菲诗歌&翻译》（英汉对照）期刊，由本编辑部统一设计、统一制作、统一定价、统一出版。16K，每期为4个印张（64-72页）。长诗、组诗、短诗、诗歌评论、翻译评论均可刊载.。封面：300g铜版纸覆膜四色印刷（封面1,2,3,4 彩色）；内页：105g双胶纸/轻型纸；装订：胶印；杂志出版后，首先递交法国国际期刊注册中心备案；再向作者免费赠送样书1册，其余将根据期刊逐渐建立的国际影响力，预备送往以下单位，联合国图书馆、联合国教科文组织、世界重要国家国会图书馆、世界重要文学报刊、世界著名大学图书馆、世界知名文学研究专家、世界知名文学翻译奖评奖会员会、诺贝尔文学奖评审委员会等。（如有送达单位均会在网络正式新闻公布加盖印章的收藏证明）

五、投稿注意事项

各位诗人朋友们：如需把你的新诗翻译成英文或者把你的英语诗歌翻译成汉语，刊载于《苏菲诗歌&翻译》（英汉对照）期刊。请发来代表作3-10首以上（少于10首且少于200行来稿者，将不得参与苏菲独家代理的国际诗歌奖和苏菲独家发起的国际诗歌奖）、诗人简介300字以内（保存为word 97-2003版）、诗歌形象照一张（原大或至少3000px像素大小、300dpi分辨率），（标题：xxx的诗+简介+照片，五号字：宋体或新罗马，请放到一个压缩文件）发送到SophyTranslation@163.com。经《苏菲诗歌&翻译》（英汉对照）期刊编委会各位编辑审核通过后方能翻译刊载，请朋友耐心等待！一旦达成翻译协议，就视为授权苏菲翻译，并在苏菲主编的电子杂志、纸质杂志或者纸质诗歌选本刊载，未经译者许可不得再将作品转给其他译者翻译。未经译者许可，也不能私自将译者翻译的汉语版本和英语版本的诗歌转译成其它语种，如需转译其它语种必须注出原创作者和转译自何种语种，译者是谁。转载和刊载必须注出译者和出处。本刊暂不接受非约稿译者翻译的诗歌文本。

六、诗歌推广

为了让更多的读者读到全世界优秀的诗歌，苏菲本人倡议诗人和读者一起积极相互推广。不积极推广和关注苏菲的诗人谢绝翻译刊载。本编辑部制定相关预订期刊和权威诗歌推广资源或国际化诗歌平台推广置换翻译资助与赞助的举措。措施草案如下：

1、大陆诗人：一次预订整年每期1份（暂定为季刊，一年四期；预订4本￥200元），本刊在该年度互换翻译并刊出个人或推荐诗人代表作15行以内；一次预订整年每期2份（共预订8本￥400元），互换翻译30行以内；以此类推；

2、海外诗人：一次预订整年每期1份（暂定为季刊，一年四期；预订4本，港澳台￥800元，国外$120美元），本刊在该年度互换翻译并刊出个人或推荐诗人代表作40行以内；一次预订整年每期2份（共预订8本，港澳台￥1600元，国外$240美元），互换翻译80行以内；以此类推；

3、海外集聚众多国际诗友的原中国籍诗人或具有高端国际诗歌推广资源的国际诗人，欢迎来信洽谈互换推广资源，苏菲及相关译者将在该年度优先互换翻译上述诗人一定数量的中外诗歌。
