He's a coward inside me.

I’m favorable for myself,
he’s against me.
In every possible way,
Remain adverse.

Bees are buzzing among the bushy cherries.
From blossoming linden trees they gather fragrance.
They kiss the grapes, early husked.
They accumulate the spring world in cells.
A life so quiet in the altar of the Universe.
Their little wings also
hold our lives.
As our human paths meet,
is this a friendship-given by God.

Tang Shi, Ph.D, ID name, Tang Derong, is from Rongchang District, Chongqing. He is the Lifetime Honorary Dean of the World Confucius Institute, and the Psychological Director of the World Literary and Entrepreneur Exchange Center. He has published more than ten collections of poems including “Towards That Tree”. He won the Medal of Culture and Arts of United Nations.

鸟在黑夜飞越

 

在花朵和岩石的上空
在钢铁般的穹窿顶端，一只鸟
在黑夜中飞越

飞过繁星，一声细小的撞击
打破了硕大的沉默
飞过圆月，一道鸟眸的闪电
使漆黑的贪婪无法藏身

每一阵羽毛的抖动都让灵魂产生雷鸣

我在黑暗中仰望，我漫长的目光
无法向鸟的速度靠近
我只感到我内在的阴影在节节败退

我真想从鸟的最后惊叫中启程
到耻辱千军万马的
云层中去，到翎毛的劲风中去
因为，鸟的进发
就要在一种毫不透风的颠簸中降落

我凝视着夜空，鸟挥动一对细小的翅膀

Above the sky of flowers and rocks
On the top of the steel dome, a bird
Flies across the night

Flying through the stars, a tiny crash
Breaks the big silence
Flying through the full moon, and a flash of lightning in the bird’s eyes
Makes the dark greed unable to hide

Every flutter of its feathers makes the soul thundering

Looking up in the darkness, my long gaze
Cannot approach the speed of the bird
I only feel the shadow inside me retreating step by step

I really want to start from the bird’s last scream
To go to the shame clouds
Of mighty force and the strong wind of its feathers
Because the bird’s advance
Will land in a windless bump

I stare at the night sky, the bird flaps a pair of tiny wings
Flying across the deep abyss in the night
The stars and the moon are like eyes, and the whole world
Cannot match with a little bird

WUWEIZHENZUN, formerly name Li Yixuan, male, was born in Beijing in 1976. He has been painting since childhood, later has engaged in philosophy, and has extended to poetry. 那是于去年春节年夜观赏的
那夜，没有丝毫爆竹之声
我渡过了一个
寂静的三十

连续两个春节的氛围
怎过得异常而一致？！

大门口被封了
像战时的铜墙铁壁！
我无法渡去——街对面
24小时的便利店

饮料与小吃，今夜无望饮食
也不知店铺
是否已然停业？

A Snowy Night Worth Of Remembering

 

In this special winter (COVID-19)
No one dares to catch a cold!
Luckily, my family is well protected
(better than in previous years...)

It reminds me of the life in the American movie “A Quiet Place”
Where no one dares to make a sound!

I watched it on Spring Festival Eve of last year
At that night, there was no sound of firecrackers
I spent
A silent Lunar New Year 30th 

How can the atmosphere of two consecutive 
Spring Festivals be so unusual and consistent? !

The gateway was sealed
As a bastion of iron in a wartime!
I could not get through — across the street
To the 24-hour convenience store

Drinks and snacks, no hope of eating tonight
I don’t know if the store
has closed or not?

Near Huanzajia’s
The buildings seem to be bustling
The streets are as silent as death

In short, this night is empty
And I keep looking forward to and predicting in my heart
—The coming heavy snow

Beijing’s snow in this winter are more frequent than in previous years!
To bring a new hope to the locked-down city...
