About Sophy Chen
Sophy Chen, Lihua Chen, born in Lueyang, Hanzhong, Shannxi Province, China, is the Chinese contemporary poet, translator, publisher and world poetry manager. She graduated from English Institute of Xi’an International Studies University in English Literature. She is the founder of Sophy Chen World Poetry Awards, the President of Sophy International Translation Publishing House, Sophy Chen World Poetry Museum, the Chief Editor and Translator of Sophy Chen's Translation World Poetry Yearbook 2021 (C-E Bilingual), Sophy Poetry & Translation(C-E) World Poetry Paper Magazine, and Sophy Poetry & World Translation Website. Sophy Chen is Admin Of PENTASI B World Friendship Poetry, a Member of the Translators Association of China, and a Member of the World Nations Writers Union, Kazakhstan. Sophy Chen is appointed as a Honorary Membership of PABLO NERUDA ASSOCIAZIONE CULTURALE and Jury Of “Il Parnaso - Angelo La Vecchia Award” of Italy. as ancient as Sanskrit mantra.

A call reaches me from the distance

Burden

When the circular inferno faints in the western sky
On the rim of the sinuous range, robed in silhouette,
Manual laborers set off homeward along serene Thanlwin river side
With a day’s wages in their hands and smiles hovering over their lips.
Aches and fatigue clinging to their spines and shoulders,
Caused by carrying heavy loads of goods the whole day long,
Begin to lose their dull tingle and ease off
As the crisp evening air sighs;
As the daylight fades into a cool, gloomy hue
And the vague calls from their homes far away
Drift into their ears with the gentle sweep
Of the home-sickening breeze of the chilly eventide.
When the gloomy sunset gleams in the dusk of my life,
My idle steps lead me to my Real Home enfolded in peaceful void.
Even now, my pains weigh the same as those in my bygone years
Although I have never strained my bones for a plate of rice.
Day after day I grow exhausted along the track of Time
From bearing the heaviest burden of all
Throughout the interminable stretch of my life.
Even though I hear the faint sound of someone calling out to me
From some unknown entrance lying hidden somewhere ahead of me,
These shapeless fetters that have exhausted my soul until now,
Still remain too obstinate to loosen their unkind grip on me.
Morose and wearied, will I ever be plodding to my final stop
As I constantly carry the HEART that is burdened by the weight of this world.

Seeing her since the morning in front of her hole
I enter her bedroom; carefully arrange her little house with her
Help her to carry the crumbs into the kitchen

I know I'm the guardian angel of that city
which trees receive delicious air and give to us
because nothing else matters
except I have to run clean air

Texture of a Sari

Eyes were fixed on the Tajmahal road
through the veil of noon.
A humble love there in the folds of a sari
I looked from a distance and don't hold her hands.

I decided to give her a rose
And the sari turned into a green tree
The leaves as if were the Mola fish of ancient charyapada
The mighty waves of sea fell on the upper part of the sari
And I was thrilled by the five feet and two inches fire.
I looked upon the sari with the thirst of a sea
And drowned under the shadow of her eyes.

I saw this tree in Sobhanbagh first in the wet sun
Then I saw her fresh in the morning sky
Gradually I saw her peacock shape in turquoise colour.
By pressing the carousel of trust,
I suddenly discovered the fragrance
of mystery with the touch of my lips.
Since then, with the earthy smell I realized
The pigeons in my breath keep flying
In a rain-soaked field
You are my mirror
Where you stand in the texture of a sari

An unpleasant sensation in my body
Feeling injured and bruised
By the worldly injustices and deceit
On verge of crying, holding back tears

Feeling exhausted by prolonged sufferings and fatigued
Lost my patience and fortitude, no resolve seen
Can't carry on my burden any more, need to die
Helplessness revealed by peril unknown, succumbed to fate

My body is mortal moving towards an end, no fear of death
Time for termination of worldly life visible, liberation from pain of life
Soul body separation, relation comes to an end
To be buried deep in earth, death is not an end of life

The beginning of eternal life of hereafter starts, soul leaves the mortal body
Travels through the celestial ocean of cosmos
To rest in eternal peace in heavenly abode
Awaiting union with my love, may be my last wish to be fulfilled

The righteous course in worldly life, no need of a saint or sermon
Peep in the heart, where God exists
Service to humanity is source of mercy and blessings of All-Mighty
Never stop trusting God and believing in His plan

在野草的怀里断奶
又被秋风的巴掌打落

I walk along the shores of the Baltic Sea
The sea breeze envelops me with nostalgia,

Screaming gulls like white sails

I leave footprints in the sand for a moment.
