Hussein Habasch, born 1948 in Afrin (Syria), is a poet, translator, and linguist. He studied at Lomonosov University (Moscow). He is the author of 23 works in Kurdish, Arabic, Russian and German. Some poems have been translated into 32 languages. His translated poems are selected in “Sophy Chen’s Translation • World Poetry Yearbook 2022/2023”(C-E Bilingual)and etc. He lives in Bonn now.
