Eggplant Spaghetti Pie ah, I think you will like, to eat such Italian spaghetti for the first time, is too different, if I do not go to Italy, I think I can not think Italian people cook this kind of spaghetti! Chinese people understand the Italian noodles are long strips! Calogero later told me that it was made in the oven with pork loin and artichoke cream.

Next it must be another symbol of Italian food culture: espresso. According to Italian poets, it is common for Italians to drink an average of 3-7 cups of coffee a day. This is also a standard part of Italian life! In the morning, a cup of coffee, a small piece of beautiful and delicate snacks, just a breakfast! No wonder Italian coffee bars are everywhere! After drinking the coffee made by my great poet Calogero La Vecchia himself, I knew that what I drank before this life was not called coffee!
Calogero later told me that the coffee is an espresso made with a home machine that pressurizes water onto the ground coffee right before you make it. As the word espresso on the coffee machine in his kitchen indicates: Italian, translated into Chinese: Italian espresso.

Pure manual, non-industrial manufacturing! The taste, only when you taste you’ll know it’s different! Here there is an interesting thing about this wine, and I’ll tell you, it’s really interesting, in fact, Calogero himself invited dinner to Sophy, me for two days, and I drank this wine on the first day, and drank another wine on the second day, if I had not been curious to ask him, I would not have known that this was a homemade wine. Because I suddenly noticed that the wine I drank the next day tasted a little different from the first day! On the special curiosity, on the conditioned reflex, I said: “ah, I feel that yesterday’s wine is particularly good”, Gero smiled and immediately took out the remaining half bottle of wine yesterday, I found that the bottle is different from the bottle of today, and the bottle did not stick any trademark words. About the Author [China]Yi Sha
Yi Sha, real name Wu Wenjian, born in Chengdu, Sichuan, in 1966, is a poet, writer, critic, translator, and compiler. He has graduated from the department of Chinese language and literature of Beijing Normal University in 1989. Now he teaches in the Chinese Institute of Xi’an International Studies University. He has published more than 100 written, translated and edited books and won the Henry Ruth Foundation Awards for Chinese Poetry Creation and English Translation, the Asian Poet Awards of South Korea, and dozens of poetry awards of China. His works have been highly valued by many countries around the world. The Vermont Creation Center in the United States has employed him as a resident writer, the University of Arizona in the United States has held poems reading for him, and one journal and two universities in Austria has also held poems reading and seminars for him.

Since Sophy Chen has been nominated as the Seneca Poetry Ambassador to China by the Seneca Poetry Prize of Italy , after three years of the epidemic barrier, on 2023-10-09, Sophy Chen finally has eliminated all difficulties and has been scheduled for an interview by the Italian Consulate in Guangzhou a day or two before she left China to Italy. As Sophy Chen said in her WeChat when she got her visa:
“The trip to Italy that I've been looking forward to for many years can be finally realized! It’s hard to get a visa! It’s a long story! However, when I was interviewed at the Italian Consulate in Guangzhou, Italian Visa Officer gave me a very great encouragement!
I never thought of an Italian person is such an interested in a Chinese poet, a translator! When I submitted my visa application, I did not mention anything about poetry, poetry translation or anything like that, let alone my pen name Sophy Chen. Unexpectedly, the interviewer even knew that I had an English poetry translation website! According to the Chinese visa application agency, you should never mention that you’ve been learning a foreign language, especially literary translation! In order to avoid being considered as having an immigrant tendency to be refused your visa! To face of the enthusiastic foreigner, I rushed to talk, what he asked in anything! We had a very good talking! When I went home, I stayed up all night, thinking to myself, it must be over! But i did not expect the interview at 10 o’clock in the morning (2023-10-09), the foreigner arranged to mail the visa at 6 o’clock in the afternoon, and i got the visa early in the morning on the second day! At the moment when I got the visa in hands, I suddenly remembered that I had forgotten to ask the foreigner’s name! What a pity to me! May poetry bring us together again!
All methods are tried by me, and even China Youth Travel Agency can not grab the number to hand over the visa application! My money was sent back in the flesh! I asked around on the Internet and found a company specializing in visa in Guangzhou to grab two numbers, one is 10-26, one is 10-27, and it is still in Shenzhen. According to the practice, the passport should be returned to Shenzhen Visa Center, and then mailed out! I didn’t expect that the visa of Dachang Chen and me were mailed out directly from Guangzhou! The foreigner must have gone out of his way to help us! Or else it’s too late! Seneca 14th Awards Ceremony, we must leave China on the 12th at the latest! Now I think I would never have gone to Italy without poetry!”

Sophy Chen, Lihua Chen, born in Lueyang, Hanzhong, Shannxi Province, China, is the Chinese contemporary poet, translator, publisher and world poetry manager. She graduated from English Institute of Xi'an International Studies University in English Literature. She is the founder of Sophy Chen World Poetry Awards, the President of Sophy International Translation Publishing House, Sophy Chen World Poetry Museum, the Chief Editor and Translator of Sophy Chen's Translation World Poetry Yearbook (C-E Bilingual), Sophy Poetry & Translation(C-E) World Poetry Paper Magazine, and Sophy Poetry & World Translation Websites.
