Love Is the World’s Land and Water by Dazang (Translated by Sophy Chen)

From the deep cave, you traced back to the aroma of rotted leaves
You keep the deadwood’s promises, and don’t fall into desolation
You believe the river drying up, but its heart going back to the sea
Nectar from the highest reward of flowers’ love
You witnessed butterflies lighting up wings to light the sky
You witnessed your vicissitudes, magnificence and brightness
When your heart is soft, from the wilderness a grass will go to solemnity and quietness
A ray of moonlight will make the sky very distant
Well, you will pass through the fish’s eyes shining with panic
And swim across the river with its plants waning
You believe the river running wildly and its heart going back to the sea
Love is the world’s land and water even up it’s been dried
When you’ve reaped big, we have to appreciate all things

褪去傲然万物之上的柔媚;

A Maiden’s Last Dream by DaZang (14 lines) (Translated by Sophy Chen)

Your only dream, the most delicate flower bud
In the garden, was firstly picked by a person as a Prince and hurriedly praised
Your tenderness above all proudly faded
In the sunset, you bloom alone

Your eye-catching shine encountered a destined drawing board
It was collected by a pair of eyes in the past life. You’ve fallen in love
With a dream within a dream, the desolate night can only reinforces
Your desire for the painters’ hands, however

Hurt is also here: when the fatal hands slowly move away
And quietly pack up the picture — not that he does not know
He will cover one epic love with dust between time and space

... Until another loving hands weigh broken air in them
You can slowly awake from the death, as if
This isn’t the painters’ hands which will treasure the vanished dream in a lifetime

Translated by Sophy Chen 2016-03-01 Guangzhou, China

The Bird Nest by Dazang (Translated by Sophy Chen)

By climbing the train’s window, she is taking a picture of the scenery outside
The faster the train goes, the more the scenery is swept to the wilderness
What flashed in front of the camera, is that she often can not grasp
For example, as a tall poplar tree by a tall poplar tree is leaping to the windows
It speeds up her heartbeat, but not hit her mind
This appears to be a competitive game by an eye and a hand with the time and the space
Generally, as the bird nest just appears in an illusion in the most distant horizon
She has inadvertently slacked it, to be
A curve flying from the front corner of the window to the back corner of the window
If at this time, just a bird chasing the train
As an angel flying with wind, soared to the skies in dance
She would luckily capture a moment of its tripping dance
Well its more beautiful moment, has disappeared in the endless vast

Translated by Sophy Chen 2016-01-17

The Secondary Rainbow on Birthday by Dazang(14 lines)(Translated by Sophy Chen)

— To the Birthday of Chen & Jiong

Chen, my dear, the sun and flame’s lover in the darkness,
We think of our birthday together in our winter in the first snow
By walking through the dark night I picked the secondary rainbow for you in paradise
I will offer us in our life our happy stars

Happy birthday, Chen, happy birthday
Your tears, as the secondary rainbow in paradise, compose into the splendid soft snow
I, by sunshine and snow blaze, cover your rose sweet body
In the silence of two candles, we will dream, bit by bit, a confined beautiful morning

Chen, at the time the dark night fades in the eternity, we’ll welcome our new life
Poems light as birds, genius and sufferings brushing past us
We are together on horse in the sky as Dante and Badlice
We have passed through the layer upon layer of paradise and man’s world

Chen, my dear, how splendid our birthday in the first snow
In your tender secondary rainbow, I wish to listen to the endless doom sigh of stillness

December 4, 1997, Guangzhou Medical College of Traditional Chinese Medicine

I've never wanted to possess you by Dazang (Translated by Sophy Chen)

—The Elegy of the Lyre No. 6

I've never wanted to possess you, a piece of exquisite artifact
You're only suitable for pouring into my enamored soul
But not for being profaned; in front of you
I just want to be your reach things

Or a sleepy cell hides
In your glory, let me hear for you
And make you forget your overturning pain; if those are not enough
Let me ran to call for you on your weak boundary …

To reject me just likes to reject a medieval myth
It's unforgettable but hard to keep in habitual silence
As the year passing away, the understatement has gradually stopped
In blank of life, none of a figure

Would be close to you — my wandering soul
Inadvertently resides in your romantic themes that yet needs to be filled

被证明只有沉入梦厄的可能;

永不会为你指明爱情游移的踪向;
Love——

Now, You Have to Bury You in the Time Tunnel by Dazang (Translated by Sophy Chen)

In your original dreams,
You occasionally fell in love with your sweet heart
Sleeping in the day and active at night
As a bat it had been proved that
Love is truly to be possible in the dreams
Without your sharp eyes to be polished
In the life traveling, you can not see through its disguised sides
And even heart wounded in thousands of times
In the endless lonely road
Only your fresh poem and hopefulness still exist
And your sadness and passion are in your deep mind

You have been forced to give up a ‘reasonable’ love
However, be given up by an ‘unreasonable’ one
It, a dim night or some wonderful lights, can not tell you
Where the love’s changeable destinations are
Love —
Is a knights’ adventure or endless soul struggle
In your own lab, whatever you are lucky or unlucky
To be felt like a long test, you must face the reality

You, a sensitive poet, had happened to fall in love
But, now, you have to bury you in the time tunnel
Because you had hardly consumed your whole life for love
And your love is always to be extinguished as a strong fire
And now, it is eventually forced to be vanished in the space

Je suis Charlie" (French pronunciation: [ʒə sɥi ʃaʁli], French for "I am Charlie") is a slogan and a logo created by French art director Joachim Roncin and adopted by supporters of freedom of speech and freedom of the press after the 7 January 2015 massacre in which twelve people were killed at the offices of the French satirical weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo. After the murdering of so many innocent people in Paris, on November 13th, 2015, a publishing project came about... I gave it the title: ‘POETRY AGAINST TERROR’, as a tribute to the countless victims of terror, worldwide. I invited many poets, whom poetry can be read at PoemHunter, to join me, so to write an ebook together.

This time I went to Hong Kong. That was the first time I’d gone to Hong Kong. Firstly I was so lucky to take part in “Hong Kong International Poetry 2015” held by poet Beidao, and secondly, in absence of three years, I just opened my Legendary Poet home page, Legendary Poet Sophy Chen, in poetey.com which is the world’s largest and most vibrant poetry community with 14 million poems. With an excitement, I dare not forget to show you all having a look. I just Forget that! It is very strange, Sophy's legendary Poet Pin was not received at the time, and it was in March 2012! At that time i lived in Beijing, and they said they had sent it to me, but I did not receive it! American poets and other countries's poets had got it! I asked them.

Crusader in Black

Erecting the exodus of irreproachable refugees
will be for the status quo an inexplicable parody.
Ironically collecting extremists the advocates contest
their choice of mercenaries they viciously embody.
Therefore the black crusader is empowered on his march
His desolate psyche is deathlike and his conscious is dark
He held his dangling rosary while beseeching our Maria
Left by the admirable emerged in careless recklessness
Forgotten are all his horrors as he has been gifted with amnesia
Doing the bidding of the hierarchy that causes his dismay
Saying God’s mother is his bystander until the judgment day.
Pledging his incessant allegiance to his matriarch and Queen
His actions are despicable and catastrophic to say the least.
It has filled my heart with fear and my stomach with disgust.
Appealing to ethereal choirs to chant Alleluia and intervene
Remembering waging war is invariably life’s grayest hour
A failure in negotiations where all souls wait to reconvene
So our conquistador will disgracefully turn his unrighteous back
His armor is soon dilapidated and his surroundings will devour
the preciousness of modesty as we recite our humble elegiac
describing the wandering castaways who hope he’s overpowered.
Curse and mock the false sincerity which fathers these thoughts of stress
recommending our dependency and destroying our brilliant oversight.
Conceiving our independence free from propaganda and media’s influence
we will resurrect our Pax Eterna with the assistance of a nonmaterial quest.

Butterflies

The bushes sail like small colors.
Small, small princesses calmly lead a clear blue path.
All fields pull colorful wings.
Clouds rise,
I see butterflies!
The adorned mountain winds swiftly flights the field of wings.
Butterflies move like a lively sail.
Life, life, and endurance!
So lovely!
Floating quietly, like a winged angel.
The amazing wings swiftly fly to the blue bush!
Never fight a moon!
Wings travel so far...
Life is too short!
Time for never ending sleep.
Bye Bye Butterflies!

The Black Swan By Sophy Chen

The Black Swan
By Sophy Chen

Peacefully, the moon
Is scattering on the arch bridge of white marble stone
With ripples sparkling
In center of lake, a full moon is bathing

Suddenly, a thump, thump…
While the water birds are slapping wings, with splashing water
Started up the layers of ripples…
The moon is rocking in the water
The nice arch bridge of white marble stone
Is falling on earth from The Palace of the Moon

There are some birds will fly to moon
Instinctively, I’m looking at the night skies
Peacefully, the heart of blue sea may be a moon
No birds, no winds, no clouds, no stars

Bowed my head, I see
Three black shiny water birds
Swimming out under the bridge casually
With their long necks
Straightened proudly
In the moonlight, the lake reflects their graceful images

Softly
I was over the arch bridge of white marble stone
To see a marble stone
With three big golden words carved The Black Swan

Peacefully, still the moon
Is scattering in the arch bridge of white marble stone
When I looked back they had
In the moon softly disappeared

Buckwheat Flowers Blooming

The autumn sky is clean and air is crisp. Looking upward
In a bay of overwhelming terraces
Butterflies are one after another, buckwheat flowers flourishing
And swarms of bees humming among the flowers

Bees and butterflies make the sea of flowers
Nature gives it the endless fragrance

If you want to take a nap in the afternoon, go to the flowers
Lie on your back, and let your small partners call you a great many times
Yet can not find you, then you just do your immortal sweet dreams

At the moment, if the time were back
I would take my poetry at the bottom of my heart
Start in an early morning of September
Go back to the depths of flowers, with butterflies flying
Bees humming and buckwheat fragrance bathing

My father says it’s been returning farmlands to forests
In the buckwheat flowers blooming season it’s a sea of boundless woodlands
After the soughing of the wind in the pine trees, a stream of rosin hit
Looking upward, on mountain tops it’s mist-shrouded

'POETRY AGAINST TERROR' E-C Translated by Sophy Chen

Sophy Chen, China
Faced with Terrorism, Poetry Is Nothings' Nothing

After being online for 24 hours, searching all of the search engines,
Trying all of the key words, in all the entangled web of the internet,
I found not the slightest trace of you.
After being online for 48 hours, like a cat on a hot tin roof,
Again and again, slaving over a steaming pan,
In order to better see you in your true colours, and to let you hear me crying,
I still found not the slightest trace of you.
After being online 72 hours, I, like a moth to a flame,
Again and again, trying to go beyond the illusory screen images
In order to show off my best dancing in front of you
And to let you see my final moment as I crash and burn.
I’ve searched the whole earth, following your clues
And from the labyrinthine depths of the internet,
I got a glimpse of your few, brief words —
Faced with terrorism, poetry is pale and powerless,
Faced with terrorism, poetry is nothing,
I’ve searched the whole universe, researching your origin and your end,
And at its extent, I got a glimpse of the original code you left behind —
Faced with terrorism, poetry is powerless’ powerlessness,
Faced with terrorism, poetry is nothings’ nothingness.
