Sophy Chen, Lihua Chen, born in Lueyang, Hanzhong, Shannxi Province, China, is the Chinese contemporary poet, translator, publisher and world poetry manager. She graduated from English Institute of Xi’an International Studies University in English Literature. She is the founder of Sophy Chen World Poetry Awards, the President of Sophy International Translation Publishing House, Sophy Chen World Poetry Museum, the Chief Editor and Translator of Sophy Chen's Translation World Poetry Yearbook 2021 (C-E Bilingual), Sophy Poetry & Translation(C-E) World Poetry Paper Magazine, and Sophy Poetry & World Translation Website. Sophy Chen is Admin Of PENTASI B World Friendship Poetry, a Member of the Translators Association of China, and a Member of the World Nations Writers Union, Kazakhstan. Sophy Chen is appointed as a Honorary Membership of PABLO NERUDA ASSOCIAZIONE CULTURALE and Jury Of “Il Parnaso - Angelo La Vecchia Award” of Italy. I SPEAK WITH THE WORLD IN POEMS

I speak with the world in poems
Ornate lines of string,
Lays down in torn rows
Pain and joy, won’t bring  ...
I open my soul wide
Your starting dialogue as fable
I laugh, I feel sad and I ask
For polished rhyming syllable.
Insomnia, separation, happiness
Spring, confessions, swifts,
Beloved that thin wrist
And passion revived in silence.
I throw images like paints
On a white sheet, the soul aflame,
Tearing off half-truths of the mask.
In semitones, not sinning not blame..
And this burden is not easy
My cross is the gifted lyre
So that the born line is fine
I'll throw it at my feet and aspire,
I met the dawn ... my reader
You a friend and a critic, at the same time,
Here the creator suggested,
I speak in poems in rhyme.
I speak with the world in poems,
What I could not be silent about.
Without covering the pain with my hands
Grinding every syllable with my heart.

I loved you for the raw fleshy glory 
of forbidden desires, the fiery ardour in your eyes, 
bodies fading into fusion, a frightening compulsion, 
sometimes a sweet surrender, mi amor, mi amor !

My inside is full of a hollow that grows inside me
filling that secret space where only you could enter
and the hope of true love seeded. Now 
the pregnant silence of the soul speaks of stillbirth.

Dark things overshadowing past shadows, 
awaken my dark feminine, 
but this dark medicine 
cannot be drunk this sunlit morning
Although I hate to say this, I am obsessed
as I call out to you, my long lost lover.

You left me at a place of no return
with wounds on me that still need healing.
The love I harbor for you saddens me

NOTICE OF REALITY

As farmers in the field, we read omens
in the primeval forest of the internet, scout for signs in the morass,
stick our fingers in the news feed, sniff
at the winds of the spirit of the times, as it blows through the landscape.
We put on our most serious faces, listen
devoutly to the heralds, and beg celebrities
for advice on what to do at home.
We assure the great leaders of our faithfulness.
With bowed heads we sacrifice, subservient to the ancient gods
we worship the new without suspicion.

Reality has become a movie
too wild to be true.
The whole globe wobbles wide-eyed around the set,
mouth gaping wide open, eyes as large as UFOs
while trying to spot something else behind the scenes,
hoping to be able to decipher the code.
Some is waiting patiently for coil change.
Others run around and pull at the sidewalk.
We look at each other as if we know well,
but we also know that we do not know,
and agree to get along with a discreet nod from good distance.
When shooting on the set, outside the houses
physical proximity is no longer tolerated.

Reality has become a movie
and when we take a break in our storage facilities
with nameplates and mailboxes,
we watch movies from other worlds to remember
how it was before.
The situation is constantly changing. Day after day,
hour after hour, we are sucked further into the fiction.

走进家乡我不敢抬头
怕灼热的眼神
烫伤了那份清秋

那挂在墙上的一件件农具

破旧的斗笠如日光的影子
呵护着父亲苍老的面容
如今 挂在草苫垒起的墙壁

没有檐下辣椒串起火红的往事

想起父亲紧皱的眉头拧成弯曲的小路

精心耕耘着四季的景致
变成干柴也要把日子燃烧成红火

我们始终把父亲当成照亮暗夜的火把

有一天  父亲把自己变成了一盏心灯

我相信 父亲一定不会走出那个茅草屋
正悠闲地欣赏着挂在墙上的每幅画里的故事

When I walk into my hometown, I dare not look up
I am fear of the burning eyes
Burning the cold autumn

The pieces of farm tools hanging on the wall
Are like some green seeds
Planted in the memory of hometown

The shabby bamboo hat like the shadow of sunlight
Takes care of my father’s aged face
Now it hangs on the wall made of straw mat

There is no red past with peppers under the eaves
The sun is getting colder and becomes a moldy day
Only the spider lovingly continues to weave the story

Thinking of my father’s frown brows twisted into a crooked path
Toothless lips are like two shriveled old doors
A cigarette is smoking like dry wood in the stove

Father’s back curved like a plowshare
It carefully cultivates the scenery of the four seasons
Even it turns into a dry wood it’ll also burn the days into red fire

We always regard our father as a torch to light up the dark night
No matter how rough the road is, we will not be afraid
One day my father turned himself into a heart lamp

I believe that my father will never go out of the thatched hut
He is leisurely admiring the stories in each painting hanging on the wall
At this time, a group of tears shed, it’s the long-lost father who brings warmth to me
